Our Storyقصتنا
Our business journey began in 1959, founded by Mr. Abdul Karim Al Kawaz, a graduate in commerce from Baghdad. Our first location was in the heart of Baghdad commercial district, Al Sadriya, where we specialized in trading electrical tools and goods. We soon joined the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce and obtained an agency for the African Company, followed by precision equipment. Over the years, we gradually expanded our trade and secured an import license for specialized activities, sourcing materials from global origins such as the UK, Italy, Romania, China, Japan, Switzerland, and Korea. We have significantly contributed to Iraq economy by enabling deferred imports to support the Central Bank at the time. We supported national production and became the main distributors for many durable goods produced by the mixed sector, such as the Light Industries Company, the Electronics Industries Company, and Al Hilal Company. In the private sector, we represented companies like the Iraqi Industries Company, Sumer Company, Al Tahan Company, Fireking Company, Al Najah Company, Aladdin Company, and Dijla Company. In 1993, Mr. Sarmad Abdul Karim, a technology graduate and the son of the founder, took over the business. During his tenure, he implemented simple industrial innovations to address the challenges of the economic sanctions period. We resumed imports in 1999, sourcing goods from Dubai and Syria, and began importing from China in 2001, followed by Italy. This progress earned us an excellent rating from the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce. In 2005, we established a private entity named Al Kawaz Authenticity Company to continue our commercial activities under a corporate framework. Our company invited Engineer Ahmed Sarmad, the founder grandson, to join the team, ensuring we stay abreast of modern advancements and continuously innovate. For over 59 years, our motto has remained: Quality, Trust, Excellence.
بدأت رحلتنا التجارية في عام 1959، حيث أسسها السيد عبد الكريم الكواز، خريج التجارة من بغداد. كان موقعنا الأول في قلب منطقة بغداد التجارية، الصدرية، حيث تخصصنا في تجارة الأدوات والمواد الكهربائية. سرعان ما انضممنا إلى غرفة تجارة بغداد وحصلنا على وكالة للشركة الأفريقية، تلتها المعدات الدقيقة. على مر السنين، وسعنا تجارتنا تدريجياً وحصلنا على إجازة استيراد للأنشطة المتخصصة، حيث استوردنا المواد من مناشئ عالمية مثل المملكة المتحدة، إيطاليا، رومانيا، الصين، اليابان، سويسرا، وكوريا. لقد ساهمنا بشكل كبير في الاقتصاد العراقي من خلال تسهيل الاستيراد الآجل لدعم البنك المركزي في ذلك الوقت. دعمنا الإنتاج الوطني وأصبحنا الموزعين الرئيسيين للعديد من السلع المعمرة التي ينتجها القطاع المختلط، مثل شركة الصناعات الخفيفة، شركة الصناعات الإلكترونية، وشركة الهلال. وفي القطاع الخاص، مثلنا شركات مثل شركة الصناعات العراقية، شركة سومر، شركة الطحان، شركة فايركنغ، شركة النجاح، شركة علاء الدين، وشركة دجلة. في عام 1993، تولى السيد سرمد عبد الكريم، خريج التكنولوجيا ونجل المؤسس، إدارة الأعمال. وخلال فترة ولايته، قام بتنفيذ ابتكارات صناعية بسيطة لمواجهة تحديات فترة العقوبات الاقتصادية. استأنفنا الاستيراد في عام 1999، حيث استوردنا البضائع من دبي وسوريا، وبدأنا الاستيراد من الصين في عام 2001، تلتها إيطاليا. هذا التقدم منحنا تصنيفاً ممتازاً من غرفة تجارة بغداد. في عام 2005، أنشأنا كياناً خاصاً باسم شركة أصالة الكواز لمواصلة أنشطتنا التجارية تحت إطار مؤسسي. قامت شركتنا بدعوة المهندس أحمد سرمد، حفيد المؤسس، للانضمام إلى الفريق، لضمان مواكبة التطورات الحديثة والابتكار المستمر. لأكثر من 59 عاماً، ظل شعارنا: الجودة، الثقة، التميز.
